Wednesday, 27 June, 2018

High profile team confirms four car entry in 2018/19 season.

The Asian Le Mans Series welcomes the announcement that United Autosports will compete in both the LMP2 and LMP3 classes in the coming season. The team will race two Ligier JS P2s and two Ligier JS 3s – creating a very strong four car effort.

United Autosports’ LMP2 team finished second in the 2017 European Le Mans Series and third in the 24 Hours of Le Mans just 10 days ago, while their LMP3 team are the reigning European LMP3 Champions.

Racing in the European Winter, the Asian Le Mans Series fits comfortably within their existing calendar of racing that includes the European Le Mans Series and the Michelin Le Mans Cup.

Racing in Asia is not new to the United Autosports team. They last raced in Asia in 2014, entering the Macau GT Cup with a pair of McLaren GT3 cars. In 2010, they also raced at Zhuhai, in China for the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup.

The team will confirm the driver line up closer to the start of the season.
