Nielsen Racing confirms return to Asian Le Mans Series

After debuting in the 2018/19 Asian Le Mans Series, Nielsen Racing will return in the 2019/20 season with their Norma M30 in the LMP3 class.

The entry will be the debut of Norma as an LMP3 manufacturer in the Asian Le Mans Series.

At this stage the team has confirmed just one car, however they are hoping to return with two cars as they had last season. The Ecurie Ecosse Nielsen Racing team finished 3rd and 5th in the LMP3 Class of the 2018/19 Asian Le Mans Series, including finishing on the podium three times.

The 2019/20 Asian Le Mans Series will get under way on 24th November 2019 in Shanghai, China.

David “Sven” Thompson, Team Principle Nielsen Racing: “We are delighted to be returning to Asia this winter after our experience last year. It’s a great series and this time we are focused on an outright LMP3 victory and the prized Le Mans 24-Hours entry that accompanies it. The Norma has proved to be extremely competitive in Europe this year and we expect much the same in Asia.”

We demonstrated in the American and European races that the M30 had reached a very high level of performance and reliability and we intend to put the same energy and the same determination to allow our car to also be successful on the Asian continent.
