Ajith Kumar To Join Asian Le Mans Series Grid with Team Virage

Tamil Cinema star Ajith Kumar will take part in the 2025/26 Asian Le Mans Series with 2023 Michelin Le Mans Cup LMP3 team champions Team Virage.
The multi award winning actor, who will be making his Le Mans Prototype debut in the opening round in Malaysia after competing in single seaters and GTs, will join forces with fellow Indian, and former F1 racer, Narain Karthikeyan in the no1 Ligier JS P325-Toyota in the LMP3 class.
Ajith Kumar said, “I’m looking forward to an exciting season in the Asian Le Mans Series, consider it an honour and a privilege to be a part is this series and here is wishing Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO), SRO Motorsports Group and everyone involved all the very best! I’m looking forward to being part of this prestigious series all that the LMP3 has to offer.”
Team Virage will be running two cars in the LMP3 category in their Asian Le Mans Series debut season, with the no8 Ligier-Toyota being raced by Swiss drivers Yohann Segala and Danny Buntschu.
Julien Gerbi, 2023 MLMC Drivers’ Champion and Team Virage CEO, said: “It's very exciting to have Ajith and Narain in the car. We will have a third driver, who is yet to be decided.
“It's definitely something that we are looking forward to a lot. First of all, to compete in the Asian Le Mans under the name of Team Virage for the first time, to go with two cars and to go with this impressive lineup.
“We expect a lot of Indian fans to follow us this season but not only in India. He's very famous worldwide, even my barber in a small village in Spain actually knows him. We are looking forward seeing a lot of his fans in Sepang this December.”

The 2025/26 Asian Le Mans Series will be held over six races in Malaysia, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, beginning with the 4 Hours of Sepang on the 12-14 December 2025.
2023/24 LMP3 Champions Return to the Asian Le Mans Series
CLX Motorsport / COOL Racing have won almost every trophy there is to win in the LMP3 category. They won the class in the 2023/24 Asian Le Mans Series and are multiple champions in Michelin Le Mans Cup, Road To Le Mans and the European Le Mans Series.
The Swiss team added the 2025 ELMS LMP3 title at Silverstone last weekend with a crew that included reigning Asian Le Man Series LMP3 Drivers’ Champion Theodor Jensen.
After deciding not to compete in the 2024/25 season, CLX Motorsport return with a single car entry for Swiss driver Kevin Rabin and American Alexander Jacoby.
We caught up with CLX Motorsport Team Principal and multiple LMP2 24 Hours of Le Mans Champion Nicolas Lapierre to talk about the return of the Swiss team to the Asian Le Mans Series.
