London, UK (June 17, 2020) - Formula E is set to resume racing in August at Tempelhof Airport in Berlin following approval of the FIA, with six races in nine days deciding who will win the 2019/20 ABB FIA Formula E Championship. The historic German airfield has been chosen to close out the current season, hosting three double-headers in quick succession on August 5/6, 8/9 and 12/13. Each pair of races will use a different track configuration, presenting opportunities for distinct strategies and the conditions for Formula E’s unpredictable and exciting racing. Formula E had already completed five races before the season was suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak, with DS TECHEETAH driver Antonio Felix da Costa (PRT) topping the standings, but only 11 points clear of nearest rival Panasonic Jaguar Racing’s Mitch Evans (NZL). Da Costa will be looking to use the six-race season finale in Berlin to seal his first Formula E title, promoting him onto the champions’ roll of honour alongside his DS TECHEETAH team-mate and two-time reigning champion Jean-Eric Vergne (FRA). The three double-headers in Berlin will complete Formula E’s revised season six calendar, taking the total number of rounds to 11. With the top-four drivers in the championship separated by fewer points than a single race win offers, it’s still all to play for when the racing recommences in Berlin. Formula E and the FIA have been working in close consultation with teams and local authorities to define a robust plan to conclude the championship in a safe manner. To mitigate risk, Formula E is implementing strict safety measures including racing behind closed doors with only essential staff and competitors travelling to the event. As per German government guidelines, there will be a maximum number of 1,000 people on site at any given time, including local suppliers and medical crews. All other operations will be carried out remotely. Key health and safety protocol includes mandatory coronavirus testing prior to the races, as well as on-site screening every day upon arrival at the track. Formula E will also actively enforce the use of face masks, social distancing and limit movement across workspaces with clearly defined zones for different event populations. FIA PUBLISHES PROVISIONAL 2020/21 FORMULA E CALENDAR - FIA World Motor Sport Council publishes provisional calendar for 2020/21 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. - Seventh season to start in Santiago on January 16 and conclude with two races in London on July 24 & 25. - Measures to support economic, social and environmental sustainability in future seasons approved by FIA. London, UK (June 19, 2020) - The FIA has published the provisional calendar for the 2020/21 season of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, following approval of the FIA World Motor Sport Council. The season seven calendar was formally ratified by the FIA today, showcasing the list of cities Formula E is currently scheduled to visit in a landmark year for the electric racing series. Officially being recognised as an FIA world championship for the first time, the 2020/21 season is set to commence in Santiago on January 16 and conclude with a double-header decider in London on July 24 & 25. Following the season-opener in the picturesque Parque O’Higgins in Santiago, the series moves to Mexico City for what will be the sixth running of the race around Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. From there the championship goes directly to Saudi Arabia for another double-header in Diriyah, and then on to Sanya in China before returning to Europe for races in the Italian capital of Rome followed by the French capital of Paris. Formula E will next return to the famous streets of Monaco on May 8, with the Principality continuing to host an E-Prix on a bi-annual basis. The series then sets off to Seoul in South Korea for the first time, before heading to Germany where Berlin will become the only city to have staged an E-Prix in all seven seasons. The championship will be rounded off in style with a USA-based race in New York City followed by a UK-based double-header in London. Alongside announcing the calendar, the FIA World Motor Sport Council also approved modifications to the championship’s sporting regulations in line with Formula E’s new world championship status. 首次「港乒擂台賽」今日（21日）於香港體育學院上演最後一天賽事，前兩天取得兩連捷的鈞傑隊及皓晴隊這日壓軸登場，惟兩隊都未能乘勝追擊，雙雙告負。最終男、女子組均在三隊同分下，鎮廷隊及凱琹隊憑著局分佔優下，後上贏得冠軍。 壓軸一天賽事男子組率先上演柏男隊對兆恒隊賽事，後者憑著林兆恒/李漢銘在雙打直落三局擊敗姚鈞濤/關文皓先贏一場，及後雙方隊長吳柏男與林兆恒先後上陣，為球隊各贏一場。在兆恒隊領先場數2：1之際，柏男隊的小將姚鈞濤抵住壓力勇挫蔡俊杰，為隊伍追平。決勝的單打由吳柏男對陣李漢銘，雙方激戰五局下，前者以局數3：2險勝李漢銘，助柏男隊以場數3：2擊敗兆恒隊。 隨後進行首次「港乒擂台賽」男子組關鍵一戰，由在賽前兩連勝的鈞傑隊對「港乒一哥」黃鎮廷領軍的鎮廷隊。雙方隊長親自上陣出戰首場雙打，何鈞傑夥拍小將于諾圖為隊伍建立優勢，不過面對黃鎮廷/江天一，前者未能嘗到甜頭，在首局激戰至「刁時」下以12：14失利，隨後「黃江配」乘勝追擊，連取兩局11：7、13：11，直落三局擊敗何鈞傑/于諾先拔頭籌。緊接鈞傑隊派出首兩日未嘗一敗的蘇致迎戰陳顥樺，雖然後者經驗較少，但他繼續打出好表現， 出人意表贏局數3：1 ，令蘇致在這次賽事嘗首敗之餘，更讓鎮廷隊領先至2：0。第三場由雙方隊長黃鎮廷及何鈞傑對決，不過這場單打不如預期般緊湊，黃鎮廷直落三局輕取何鈞傑，最終鎮廷隊以3：0勝出。 男子組經過六場賽事後，鎮廷隊、鈞傑隊及柏男隊均為兩勝一負，但鎮廷隊憑著較佳的局分贏得冠軍。雖然在首兩日比賽後處於落後，但黃鎮廷一直未有抹煞隊伍後上奪冠機會，當中陳顥樺的勝仗尤為重要。相隔近三個月未有任何賽事，黃鎮廷表示這次比賽能夠讓隊內球員的默契有所改善，不過他笑言今次賽事可以打得更「激」：「隊內競爭對香港隊是好事，特別是現時缺乏國際賽事，隊內的賽事應該越激烈越好。」 首兩天領先的鈞傑隊，在這日突然失準，遭鎮廷隊直落三場橫掃告負，不單失落冠軍，更被柏男隊壓過，最終只得季軍。何鈞傑透露自己在雙打期間弄傷腰部，影響發揮：「其實之前都有傷，惟不至於影響到比賽，但今日在雙打第二局中段可能用錯力，腰部突然痛起來，影響到後續的發揮，有點可惜。」何鈞傑特別談到與黃鎮廷的單打：「本來對上黃鎮廷已經處於下風，再加上今日腰傷，每一球都好像發不到力，感覺很無助。」 女子組方面，先有穎嵐隊對成竹隊。前者先由吳穎嵐/張文靜在雙打以局數3：2擊敗劉麒/黃芊柔，惟朱成竹隨即在單打以3：1挫轉至女子組作賽的鮑奕文，為隊伍追平場數1：1。不過穎嵐隊未有受壓力影響，吳穎嵐與鮑奕文在兩場單打均以3：0取勝，助穎嵐隊以場數3：1擊敗成竹隊。 與鈞傑隊一樣在首兩日不敗的皓晴隊這日迎戰凱琹隊，惟前者未能在雙打打出氣勢，李皓晴/李嘉宜在領先兩局下，被周穎詩/李清韻連取3局反勝， 令現場觀眾大跌眼鏡 ，隨後杜凱琹直落三局輕勝林依諾，為隊伍領先至2：0。雖然李皓晴在激戰五局下險勝李清韻為隊伍追回一場，但小將李嘉宜未能擋住「香港一姐」 、多日來均以「噴泉頭」造型出戰的杜凱琹強攻 ，最終杜凱琹直落三局取勝，助凱琹隊以場數3：1擊敗皓晴隊。 女子組戰況與男子組一樣，在所有賽事後有三隊同分，凱琹隊憑著較佳局分，後上掄元。對於這次「港乒擂台賽」的舉辦，杜凱琹認為是機會難得：「在疫情下香港乒乓總會仍然能夠舉辦這次賽事，機會實在難得。最近自己有練習新技術，透過這次賽事發現這些新技術未能在比賽上好好運用，及後要多加訓練。」雖然對自己發揮不盡滿意，但杜凱琹仍順利帶領隊伍後上封后，她坦承這個冠軍是意想不到：「我們首兩場心情都比較凝重，大家心態都不想輸，導致打法保守又緊張。今日賽前大家都強調要輕鬆迎戰，這樣反而發揮得更好。」 在頒獎典禮上，香港乒乓總會主席余國樑致詞時表示：「今日踏入球場感覺比平時熱，及後發現原來是球員怕空調風影響到球的路線，所以要求關掉空調。這反映出球員對這次賽事的著緊程度，很開心大家都投入賽事。」看到各隊落力爭勝，余主席認為各球員都會獲益良多，而賽事亦達到預期效果。 事實上，港隊各球員在疫情期間經過「閉關練習」後有明顯進步，現場觀賽的嘉賓不單看得緊張刺激，亦親身感受到球員在場上對攻時的震撼擊球聲。 隨著鎮廷隊及凱琹隊稱王封后，第一次「港乒擂台賽」亦宣告結束，第二次賽事將於7月31日至8月2日舉行，屆時香港乒乓總會將繼續於YouTube頻道進行直播。 第一次「港乒擂台賽」戰果： 男子組 冠軍：鎮廷隊 亞軍：柏男隊 季軍：鈞傑隊 殿軍：兆恒隊 女子組 冠軍：凱琹隊 亞軍：穎嵐隊 季軍：皓晴隊 殿軍：成竹隊 資料和相片來源 : 香港乒乓總會

【2020年7月7日 - 香港】香港排球總會推出「本地比賽優化計劃」（下稱「優化計劃」）。由本年七月起，香港排球總會將對現行三大賽事，包括「全港公開排球錦標賽」、「全港公開馬拉松排球賽」及「青少盃排球賽」進行一系列優化措施，務求全面提升香港排球比賽之賽事規格，促進本港排球發展。當中，「全港公開排球錦標賽」甲一組別將會優化成為「香港甲一組排球聯賽」，由賽事組織委員會專責管理。 香港排球總會由2018年開始全面檢視現行三大本地比賽之賽期、賽制及各項賽事安排，並以國際賽期、本地賽期、國際賽事規格及安排作為參考，制訂全面的「優化計劃」，內容包括更改賽事名稱、重新編排賽期、提升個別賽事之要求及提升比賽配備等。經過香港排球總會執行委員會詳細研究、向球隊及各持份者等進行公開咨詢，並收集及綜合所有建議後，香港排球總會執行委員會於去年十一月正式通過「優化計劃」，並決定由「香港排球錦標賽2020」開始全面執行。 「優化計劃」內容簡介 香港排球總會三大賽事將按以下時間表進行： 賽期 : 一至五月 賽事名稱 :「香港排球聯賽」 賽期 : 七至八月 賽事名稱 :「香港排球總會盃」、「香港青少年排球錦標賽」 賽期 : 七至十二月 賽事名稱 :「香港排球錦標賽」 1. 「香港排球聯賽」 「全港公開排球錦標賽」將改為「香港排球聯賽」（下稱「聯賽」），仍是全港唯一設「升降班制度」之比賽，賽事仍保留單循環制度，並繼續以男女子甲一、甲二、乙、丙組和丙組資格賽分組。由2021年起，「香港甲一組排球聯賽」（下稱「甲一組聯賽」）將由組織委員會專責管理，全面提升賽事規格。「甲一組聯賽」將分為常規賽及總决賽，常規賽賽制跟以往「錦標賽」相同，而總决賽則按常規賽首四名成績進行三輪單循環比賽分出勝負。「甲一組聯賽」三天總决賽將安排於具規模場館舉行，並設「香港排球聯賽頒獎典禮」，加強可觀性，吸引更多觀眾及商業機構關注與支持本地最高水平之排球賽事。 2. 「香港排球錦標賽」、「香港排球總會盃」 「全港公開馬拉松排球賽」將由「香港排球錦標賽」及「香港排球總會盃」（簡稱「排總盃」）兩賽所取代。「排總盃」會由「聯賽」之甲一及甲二組的球隊參賽競逐，比賽採用初賽、複賽及決賽形式進行。「聯賽」排名會決定球隊於初賽組內的位置，每組各自進行單循環賽；複賽會以初賽成績編組，再進行單循環賽；決賽則以「盃、碟、碗、盾」來分組，進行五局三勝淘汰賽。新賽制下，甲組球隊將享更多比賽場數，而球隊即使在初賽中失利仍可角逐獎項，令競爭氣氛大增。 「香港排球錦標賽」賽事將分為首階段及次階段（決賽圈），首階段賽事由乙及丙組球隊角逐，而次階段則加入甲組球隊參賽。首階段比賽沿用舊有比賽制度，次階段（決賽圈）分五輪進行淘汰賽。 3. 「香港青少年排球錦標賽」 「青少盃排球賽」將改為「香港青少年排球錦標賽」，各組比賽名稱將以其組別命名，如「香港U23男子排球錦標賽」。賽事年齡組別亦將由四組增加至五組，包括U23、U20、U18、U16及U14。初賽分四組球隊，每組三隊形式進行單循環比賽；複賽沿用兩組單循環，再進行決賽分出勝負。優化後，賽事年齡組別劃分得更仔細，令每組球隊的實力更接近。 有關「優化計劃」或賽事消息，請留意本會網頁(http://www.vbahk.org.hk/) 及 Facebook專頁(https://www.facebook.com/vbahk.plus/)。 資料來源 : 香港排球總會

- Reigning Super Formula champion to line-up alongside Robin Frijns from season seven - Winner of the ‘triple crown of Japanese motorsport’ at just 25 years of age - New Zealander signs multi-year agreement with Silverstone-based team Leading Formula E team Envision Virgin Racing has signed rising star Nick Cassidy for the next season of the all-electric championship. The reigning Super Formula champion joins the independent outfit from the 2020/2021 season on a multi-year agreement alongside Robin Frijns, replacing the outgoing Sam Bird. The 25-year-old from Auckland, New Zealand, is widely regarded as one of the most promising talents in motorsport having already completed the ‘triple crown’ of titles in Japanese motorsport (Formula 3, Super GT and Super Formula), as well as becoming one of the most successful drivers in the history of the Toyota Racing Series. Cassidy even set a new lap record at the Marrakesh E-Prix on his maiden Formula E outing during a rookie test with the team back in March, in which he comfortably topped the timesheets. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for me to be joining Formula E and Envision Virgin Racing from next season,” said Cassidy. “The team is one of the most successful on the grid, have a great set-up and facilities, and have continually impressed me since I joined them for the rookie test back in March.
