「2015尼康香港青少年公開賽」今天（9日）假灣仔伊利沙伯體育館進行煞科日賽事，舉行青年組（18歲以下）及少年組（15歲以下）由四強至決賽，由中國隊做大贏家，包攬單項八個項目中的四面金牌，香港隊就於整個賽事共奪得三銀四銅，港隊教練均對球員於今屆賽事表現滿意。 青年組男女子單打賽事均上演中國內鬨，男子組由18歲的朱誠以4：2擊敗越級挑戰、14歲的徐瑛彬，女子組則由孫晨以4：2力退隊友王藝迪，這場戰情緊張賽事，當孫晨領先局數3：2時一度被王藝迪追平9-9，有機會被追平局數，幸最終能穩住狀態勝出賽事。第一次參賽的孫晨賽後表示滿意自己表現：「第一次參賽，拿了三塊金牌（單打、雙打、團體）。打完最後單打還覺得是一場夢，因為對手水平比我強，我跟她打了五年從沒有贏過，可能就是這個原因，今天作出了一些大膽嘗試去突破。」今年18歲的孫晨因年齡 限制，今年會是最後一年參賽，未來她會放眼希望代表中國隊參加更多世界性比賽。另外，她與王藝迪於女子組雙打決賽就合力擊退中華台北組合封后。 香港隊於今屆賽事亦取得不俗成績，先於團體賽勇奪三銀兩銅，今天再在單項少年組男單及男雙再取兩面銅牌。昨日於男單闖入四強的香港小將陳以信0：3負泰國球手PANAGITGUN Yanapong，而男雙的崔敬喬/黃翰林則同樣以0：3不敵中國及美國聯隊。由於賽事不設季軍戰，兩個項目均為香港各增添一面銅牌。 總結今屆賽事港隊合共奪得三銀四銅，港隊教練李靜和高禮澤均對此表示鼓舞。少年男隊教練高禮澤表示：「上年少年男隊沒有贏到獎牌，今年成績很好。尤其曾梓峻、姚鈞濤和陳以信，曾梓峻在團體表現較好，陳以信則在個人項目發揮較好，其他隊員都有不錯表現，但期望他們之後能在穩定性方面再加強。」青年女隊教練李靜今屆賽事對隊員來說是一個挑戰：「以前她們有杜凱琹帶著，今年要她們自己做主，會有少少壓力，但高興看到她們的鬥志。在對中華台北和中國都能打到自己水平，看到蘇慧音有能力領頭，相信她與麥子詠和劉麒未來能在世青賽擔起大旗。」 「2015尼康香港青少年公開賽」由8月5日至9日舉行，所有賽事於今天結束。 資料來自香港乒乓球總會 More photos at our facebook page

This morning (Thursday, 30th July 2015), Johnson and Rose, who are currently ranked fifth and seventh in the Official World Golf Ranking, confirmed their entries to one of Asia’s most prestigious tournaments, following their strong performances in The Open recently. Johnson shared the halfway lead at St Andrews before a disappointing final two rounds, while Rose finished strongly to flirt with contention and eventually tie in sixth place. Johnson, a 31-year-old from South Carolina, is one of the game’s most exciting players where his natural talent and athleticism allows him to be one of the longest and straightest drivers in the world. He also has the short game to back it up, winning nine times on the PGA Tour, including the WGC-Cadillac Championship in March, and contending in almost every Major Championship he plays. He finished tied second at the U.S. Open in June. He said: “I’m excited to be making my first trip to the UBS Hong Kong Open. I’ve heard some great things about the tournament, and that the Hong Kong Golf Club is a real classic golf course with a rich history and tradition. You look at some of the names who have won the tournament – guys like Norman, Watson, Woosnam, Langer, Olazabal, Montgomerie and McIlroy – and you realise there is a great history there. Those are the kind of trophies you want to get your name on. I’m also really looking forward to visiting Hong Kong. As golfers we are very lucky to have the chance to travel the world playing the game we love and when you get the chance to visit cities as exciting as Hong Kong then it’s difficult to say no. It’s going to be an exciting trip.” Rose, of course, is a Major Champion having won the 2013 U.S. Open and becoming the first Englishman since Tony Jacklin in 1970 to win an American national open. A truly global player, Rose has won seven times on both The European and PGA Tours, as well as picking up titles in the land of his birth, South Africa; as well as Australia and Japan. Rose said: “Hong Kong is one of my favourite cities in the world and Fanling is a great golf course. The tournament is close to the end of the Race to Dubai so I liked the idea of putting another tournament on the schedule near the end of the year to give myself as good a chance of possible of winning the Race to Dubai when we get to Dubai at the end of the season. I missed the cut by a shot in 2011 but I loved the course. I remember I made a late run of birdies to almost make the cut, but then missing that cut actually enabled me to spend a weekend in the city and really get to know and love the place. We stay in an awesome hotel in the middle of town and there are just so many great restaurants and so much to do – when you are away from the course you always feel you are somewhere very special and unique. But hopefully this year I can improve the golf side of things. Fanling is a very traditional, tree-lined, tight course. It’s not long but a great test of golf and not easy as the winning scores usually tell. 28 Jul 2015 After four months of hiatus, the 22 rider strong cup is set to return to competition with the third round of season taking place in Sepang, alongside the tenth round of WorldSBK. Chang and Losail marked a brilliant start to the season. Now Sepang opens the second part of the Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup, to be finished by three further events in Zhuhai (China), Motegi (Japan) and a final trip back to Sepang. Equality is still the major trend of the championship. After four races (two held at each round), there have been four different winners, although the leader of the championship is a rider who is yet to win a race despite being a frequent podium finisher. Japanese Ayumu Sasaki heads the league, with 76 points thank to three second place finishes and a third. Second in the standings is Somkiat Chantra from Thailand, just 15 points behind Sasaki and winner of the first race in Chang Thailand but hindered by an unfortunate fall in the second race of the Thai round. 24 points behind the leader is perhaps one of the biggest revelations of the season, Japan’s Kazuki Masaki with the young rider making his debut in this year’s Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup. Sepang will see an intense duel for the lead, with riders such as Indonesian Andi Izdihar, the first Indonesian pilot to claim an international victory thanks to his win in the second race of Qatar, fighting for victory. The very rapid Nakarim Atiratphuvapat, winner of the second Chang race, Takuma Kunimine, who won in Qatar but crashed out in second will not doubt be in the mix as well. The third round of the Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup will begin on Friday, July 31 with two free practice sessions. Saturday August 1 will hold one qualification session as well as the first of the two scheduled races, while Sunday August 2 will hold the second and final race.
